Indosat Ooredoo

Oslo, 24 June 2021 – Indosat Ooredoo, Indonesia’s leading digital telco, announced a strategic partnership with Telenor Digital. Indosat Ooredoo will use Telenor Digital’s global platform, Millom, to launch new digital solutions to improve customer experiences.

With the Millom platform, Indosat Ooredoo will be able to engage with its customers directly on the digital platforms they already use today. The platform allows for a smooth integration between Indosat Ooredoo’s digital ecosystem and the leading operating systems and mobile apps, such as Facebook, allowing Indosat Ooredoo to expand the customer self-service features, improving customer experiences with optimized handling-cost. The platform will also enable a more personalized customer journey and present contextual offerings to customers in innovative and user-friendly ways.

Through this partnership, Indosat Ooredoo and Telenor Digital have launched the Facebook Mobile Center, a customer engagement channel within the Facebook app that mobile operators can use to deliver seamless, in-app sales and service experiences. With Mobile Center, Indosat Ooredoo’s customers can quickly and easily purchase data packs without needing to leave the Facebook app. The data purchased through Mobile Center can be used to browse any mobile app, not just Facebook. In addition, Indosat Ooredoo’s customers can now access customer service experiences, such as chatting with Indosat Ooredoo customer support through WhatsApp—with just a few short clicks.

Ritesh Kumar Singh, Chief Commercial Officer of Indosat Ooredoo, said, “We are proud to announce that Indosat Ooredoo has launched Mobile Center in Indonesia in the Facebook App, and it is powered by our strong understanding of what our customers’ need. Now our customers can buy data bundles and even get Airtime and Data Bundle Advance from within the Facebook App by interacting with the ‘Mobile Center – Indosat Ooredoo’. We aim to improve the customer experience on our network and help them stay connected all the time using our simple offers.”

The shift to digital interactions will last beyond any pandemic, as many customers see the convenience in it. Using the Millom platform, Indosat Ooredoo is increasing the pace towards digitalization of Indonesia and strengthening its commitment to continue delivering new & digital ways of living for Indonesians.

“This strong initiative would not have been possible without the close cooperation between Indosat Ooredoo, Facebook, and Millom. We will leverage Millom’s technology, intelligence, and experience to bring continuous enhancements to our digital channels. We have a strong belief that our customers will benefit from the cooperation we have with Millom”, Ritesh concluded.
